Why coffee is good for you?The caffeine in coffee offers many benefits. It stimulates the brain, aids concentration and fights fatigue. In their well researched book " Superfoods, Superfast: Eat Your Way to Superhealth", Griggs and Michael van Straten name coffee as one of the 10 superfoods. Studies conducted by Oxford, Vanderbilt, the American Medical Association, and many others have concluded that coffee has many health benefits, including reduction in the risk of colorectal cancer, Parkinson disease, kidney stone, gallstones, and cirrhosis of the liver. A 2001 Oxford study found that one cup coffee has more anti-oxidants than one cup of green tea.
Thousands of scientific papers have been written about the positive correlation between drinking coffee and health. An overwhelming bulk of evidence shows that moderate coffee drinking is perfectly safe - and is in no way a health risk. |
